Kar98ks and Mosin Nagants
« on: March 23, 2011, 10:26:17 pm »
I was watching Enemy At The Gates today and It made me want to get a Kar98k or a Mosin Nagant, I know tanaka and some other companies make them but which one would you guys reccomend for best cosmetics and/or performance? or Would I be better off waiting for G&G to release theirs?

Yeah I'll probably try and pick up the G&G, are there any scopes/scope mounts made for airsoft kar98k's?

I'd go Tanaka.

They perform quite well, and have great externals. Most importantly, they've been on the market for years.

Normally I'm a G&G fan, but I wouldn't recommend a rifle that's not even in production yet.

They can be, depending on the type of gas you use.

Probably not seeing as it is an airsoft sniper's rifle.

Ignorance in action. It's not a "sniper rifle", it's a replica of the standard German Army rifle circa WW2. Depending on the power level, it might be used in the sniping role, or it might not.

Being a gas gun, it's power levels can differ with warmer and colder temperatures, with the same gasses.

Some people have recorded over 550 with propane/green gas, some under 500. It's partly going to depend on the temps. If it's over, just use duster/134a. Being a bolt action rifle, you're not likely to be going through much gas at games, so buying both kinds of gas isn't likely to be too high.

Reportedly there is a "G" model of the Tanaka 98K, that can be adjusted to increase or lower the power of the gun. How one tells the difference when buying, I don't know.

The german army had multiple "standard" guns, however I was referring to the fact that he had stated interest in a scope, so I assumed he was interested in being a sniper.

Thats true I guess buying duster wouldn't be too bad since its bolt action,I think ill try and find a tanaka 98K,

And yeah I'm somewhat interested in sniping but also Id be using it as just a basic mid range gun depending on how it performs

Ok, because I inferred the asking about a scope to mean that you were interested in sniping.

I think I remember seeing one of scoutthedoggie's videos on youtube and someone had the tanaka 98 and not only did it look great the guy using it was kicking butt.
