02/17/13 - MAG Presents: Midwest Airsoft Expo - Rockford IL

Come one, come all, to the second Midwest Airsoft Expo!  A what?  A place for everything airsoft, retailers, repair techs, association and team recruiting.  Retailers will be set up for you to buy from, our resident techs will be there to work on whatever you have that is broken or needs an upgrade.  Associations and teams will be present, openly recruiting or to just answer your questions.  There might even be raffle and contests, more on that later after i see what kinds of prizes we can dig up...

Basically, if you want to just to come and hang out with follow board members and airsofters alike, then this is the venue for you.  Hell, bring the parents, wife, girlfriend, kids, whatever!  Give them a feel for where you go every weekend to play army with your friends!

Prizes and Raffles
Throughout the day raffles and prizes will be given away.  You may purchase raffle tickets inside at the expo.

Retailers
$50.00 per 8' table

Associations/Teams/Repair techs
(max 5 team members paid per table, or 2 techs)
$25.00 per 6' table

SWAP tables
(Tables selling items that are NOT retailers, personal items only)
$25.00 per 6' table

Individual attendees
$5.00 per person

Kids under 12 - FREE!

Booths are available by contacting Breech only and are on a first paid for, first served basis

Over at 7pm


Camo Requirements
Players can come in their team uniforms, even geared up if they wish.  Guns must be cased, no sidearms allowed.  Regular civi clothes are also allowed.


**IMPORTANT**
While guns are allowed to be brought in to the expo to be worked on by any number of repair booths, ALL weapons must be cased and unloaded.  ALL cases will be checked upon entering the Expo.

General Hotel Information
No drugs or outside alcohol (Not purchased at the hotel) allowed in the Expo.
Smoking is only permitted in the parking lot.
There will be food for sale through The Tilted Kilt, which is located on site.

by the camo requirements, do you mean that we need to come kitted up in the gear we would normally wear to a game minus the guns (unless in proper transport bags) if we're "freelance" (no real team) and if we're on a team or just if we're on a genuine team?? just asking for clarification

I read it as dress-up if you want to otherwise your normal clothes are fine

explain the term "carry-on" weapon?  do you mean "Carry" weapon?  you are not allowed to have any weapon holstered. 

Camo requirements are not really requirements as much as they are permission.  Some people may want to come in their team uniform.  it's not required.  Street clothes are preferred - i wore bedroom slippers at the first one - but you can come kitted up if you want

at the first expo we had guys go as far as to come in their full loadouts, minus mags and weapons. 

Cased rifles and pistols are fine to bring in as long as they are to be worked on by techs

show and tell is not allowed.  Please do not bring weapons just to show off.

you may show off any purchases you make though.  please keep weapons INSIDE the EXPO center at ALL TIMES if they are unboxed.  there will be a seating section at the rear of the room where you can sit down and fondle and show off your new purchase

in that case, im going to go with the "go big or go home" mentality and run full kit minus weapons and mags; btw, would i have to remove my rubber knife too or would that be considered a "wardrobe accessory" if i kept it where it goes on my vest??
