Which I have yet to do seeing as the front sight STILL hasn't come in yet. Though I'm thinking my m9 could use that.

Well it isn't a real one yeah. Still works a thousand times better than those nice plain black iron sights that like to play hide and go seek at night.

Is there any Glow Iron sights?

You can either paint them in the manner Red suggested (which is significantly cheaper), or you can buy the tritium sights for...I'd hazard 150-200$ for front post and rear sight.

*edit* good point ukie: I'm referring specifically to an M-series' tritium sights.

For night tactics, I toss flaming tennis balls to illuminate the battlefield.

if this fits and holds onto your ak-47 well then i think it's great.  all you do is line up the front and back dot and then boom, torso shot

Tactics?

1. Buy NV. Pwn asses.
2. Don't have NV? Lay down. Seriously. Last year at Breedland I was laying in the same spot for around 2 hours. And managed to get some kills on guys who didnt see me laying there.

Even a cheap, utterly inferior NVU puts you entirely in a different world at night.

I was able to slink around in diffused moonlight, about fifteen feet behind an enemy squad, shoot half of them in the ass with my Skorpion over about ten minutes' time, then knife kill the rest of them.

Then I danced around like a dumbass because nobody else could see me, not even DT's crew with their own NV unit.

It's important not to use gen-0 or active infrared unless it's absolutely necessary. These things WILL give you away to anyone else using NV or IR.

Since I don't feel like scouring 7 pages to find an answer that might not even be there, what would you recommend for budget NVGs?

Crusader:
ANything that either makes a full seal (AN/PVS5), that can be engineered to take a full-seal "gasket" goggle underneath, OR that can be worn over the top of goggles. REMEMBER that you still have the extremely important rule of eye protection to keep in mind.

And where would you recommend purchasing a pair of AN/PVS5s from? I just did a quick google and mostly came up with information on the system, not anyone selling some.

EDIT: I just found some for $1500... I think I'll be picking up a PTW before getting a pair of these...

Fail... I've seen 'em on eBay for $700 before.

I'm reluctant to recommend the old SPetsnaz ON1x20 goggle system because it's very tricky to make a gasket-goggle for, and they're of inconsistent quality, but it's a stereoscopic Gen1 system that you can reasonably expect to get in good working shape for $400 shipped. That's what I use... They look scary and they don't inhibit depth perception as badly as a single-eye unit, but they weigh a ton and they're not tremendously powerful.
