Licensed to Kill: Hired Guns in the War on Terror
« on: June 18, 2009, 02:07:47 pm »
I just finished reading this great, fantastic but truly sad book about private military contractors aka mercenaries by Robert Young Pelton,
and I have to say it was very  well written! It gave you the in depth look of what is the most hairiest job in the world! I mean, it's such a job that pays so well, but it is going to cost you your life!
Talks about how the mercenaries were first labeled as a group of band of rebels, to say protect those in need in several parts of the world, which later on became such a worldwide market!
In the end he tells the sadness of those who end up holding the spit end of the stick and lose everything! from a limb from an IED, to their family.
I truly recommend this great book!
Great references!
"To have ultimate victory, you must be ruthless!"
"I'm a leeaad farmer muthaf****r!"
"Let's kick the tires and light the fire's big daddy!"
