Backyard/Private airsoft events

Are in no way shape or form allowed to be posted publicly on these boards.

Only games held at properly ZONED locations are allowed to be publicly posted.  Which for example, would be a Paintball field

Reason?  If someone were to be hurt at an "Illegal" event - i.e. backyard airsoft or ANY location not zoned for airsoft or paintball - not only would the event organizer and the land owner be liable, the forum to which the public information for the illegal event would ALSO be liable.

We cannot endanger the forums or the forum owner by allowing said illegal events to be posted publicly ANYWHERE on these forums.

Persons who have land available that is not zoned for use, may use the PM system to privately invite players to their events.

Furthermore, airsoft is Illegal within Cook County. 

Being caught in cook county playing airsoft more then likely carries a class a mistermeaner charge of "Unlawful use of a weapon."

hey breech what if your own private land and you set up an airsoft field would that be considered illegal??

MAG had a CQC location at the beginning of this year, we had to pull the plug on it as it was based in cook county, and illegal

Hmm... I live in Cook County... Barrington to be exact. I live just south of the border between Cook County and Lake County right by the Barrington High School. I emailed the police department in Barrington and was told that it was illegal to brandish a "projectile discharging" device within the town limits. However, I do not live inside downtown Barrington so I was told that it might be ok... I was told to check though. I don't know what this may mean according to this discussion...

and if i were you just keep your guns in a case at all times. you can do whatever in your house but dont bring it outside. not even to test fire. we dont want another abc news special on "Real Looking SOFT AIR guns" (abc new is full of noobs)

It was the Barrington Police Department... but yes, I will inquire further.
