Heads up illinois!  You talked about it and MAG listened!  After extensive negotiations with management MAG has secured Challenge Park Extreme for a once in a lifetime opportunity.  Normally used primarily for paintball, but still being closed for the Winter, MAG has locked down BOTH town fields and the neighboring forest field for a massive 3 field event!  Never before has an airsoft group been given exclusive all day permission to play on these fields.  This gentlemen, will be something you will NOT want to miss.  MAG has even LOWERED the admission price by nearly 1/3rd of our regular events so to accommodate those on a tighter budget.  DON'T miss out on this once in a lifetime chance, we are NOT sure if this will EVER happen AGAIN!!!

Who loves you guys...

Russian troops have invaded the US.  They have carried out multiple attacks along the eastern seaboard and have attacked the capital.  The white house has been overran, occupied by Mother Russia's Finest.  The president and has cabinet are presumed captured or dead.  The battle now calls YOU to the fight.  Will you join up with America's best to retake Whiskey Hotel or are you a lowly Russian dog, hell bent on destroying the Capitalist Swine of America.

The choice is yours!

The game will run similar to online play, with the main focus being on 6 major flag stations located around the three fields.  Embedded within the game, are multiple Special Ops "Milsim" missions detailing Recon, Rescue, and Demolition objectives.

The TOD
Here at Midwest Airsoft Guerrillas we believe forward progression is key in the sport of airsoft for all of our participants. With that in mind at every event we will be introducing a simple yet very effective, Tactic Of the Day. The TOD will be a demonstrated by the staff at MAG during the safety briefing but it is up to the player to implement it on the field. The TOD will always have some application towards the game for that day, we will make it something you can practice throughout the day and hopefully it will make the game more enjoyable for you as the player. You learned stuff too!

Tactic of the day: Whiskey Hotel

Cover and bounding:
During the coarse of today's event, you will either be attacking a fixed position or defending said position. Either way, in order to survive today, you will need to work and move as a team, which leads to our TOD for today, covering and bounding. Covering and bounding is just what it sounds like, to supply moving or "bounding" teammates with cover fire from enemy troops. This tactic works both ways in advancing on or retreating from a target. Typically when retreating this tactic can be referred to as a "peel" whereabouts a squad will fall back on a static line, while the furthest man up falls back while the others provide cover fire.

Location:
Challenge Park Exrtreme

Camo regs are based off the TOP half of your body.  You may mix and match camo patterns WITHIN your teams' standards.  I.E. wearing an ACU shirt with Desert pants or a woodland top with flecktern pants as examples

You may NOT wear patterns identifed from both teams, I.E. an ACU shirt with Woodland pants.

You may wear "civi" clothes to subsitute for your pants, I.E. woodland and jeans or ACU with jeans is fine.

Basic Field Rules
1. Goggles
Full seal, Z87.1 impact rated goggles are required for ALL players.  Additionally, until otherwise notified, full face protection is also required.  Shemaghs and balaclavas would fall under this rule.

2. ANY PLAYER UNDER THE AGE OF 18 MUST HAVE FULL FACE PROTECTION:
This includes paintball/airsoft masks only. This rule does not include those players over the age of 18 but it is recommended that ALL players follow a full face protection guideline.

3. THE SAFEZONE:
The Safe Zone is exactly that, a safe zone that is not in play on the field. While in the safe zone the players may remove their goggles, rest, perform any needed repairs or address any other issues at hand, etc. At no time is firing your airsoft weapon in, at, or out of the safe zone acceptable. This includes test firing or dry firing your weapon. If you must do so, you may go to the designated firing line at the field to perform these functions. Any player caught firing into the safe zone from the field of play will be ejected from the field without refund.

4. ACTING IN AN UNSAFE MANNER:
This includes physical contact, threatening others, using nonprofit explosives, combustables, etc. We do not tolerate an unsafe environment, and we are all adults. If you are unsure what this rule covers, just remember that anything that may compromise player safety while on our field is unacceptable.

5. ALL "CLASSIC" GAS AIRSOFT GUNS MUST HAVE A TOURNAMENT LOCK:
Due to the ability that classic type airsoft guns can adjust their velocity on the fly, all "classic" airsoft guns (brands like JAC, Asahi, Kokusai, etc) must have a NPPL certified paintball Tournament Lock affixed to their external pressure regulator. A quick goggle search on Paintball tournament locks will further clarify this issue. Also, all "classic" gas airsoft guns are subject to random chronograph checks throughout the day.

QUESTIONS OR PROBLEMS ABOUT THE FIELD OR RULES MAY BE DIRECTED TO BREECH ONLY

During the course of some events, certain pyrotechnics may be used or allowed at the field. this covers mostly smoke type pyrotechnics. Please check with the individual event requirements or game day rules for further details on what type of smoke pyrotechnics will be used/allowed.

General Field Information
No drugs or alcohol allowed on the field.
Smoking is only permitted in the safe zone.
There will be food for sale through CPX.

The following topics have been covered and here are some updates:

1.  Anyone under the age of 18 must have a waiver for CPX filled out.  It can be found here:
http://www.cpxsports.com/Documents/Ctrl_Hyperlink/Waiver_-_Underage_uid542009823572.pdf

2.  Tornado grenades are approved for use.

3.  The only flash bang grenades approved for use are the Madbull Distraction devices and the Thunder B grenades.

4.  Biodegradable BB's are NOT required but HIGHLY encouraged.

5.  The only uniforms specifically reserved for the US are MultiCam, ACU, and DCU.

6.  Any green based camo will be suitable for the Russian team this includes but is not limited to: Woodland, MARPAT, DPM, OD, Tigerstripe, etc.

7.  Anyone in Black will be assigned a team on game day. Urban camo is qualified as "Black"

8.  Anyone UNDER the age of 18 is required to wear a FULL PAINTBALL MASK.  There will be NO exceptions made to this rule.  Don't even ask.  If you can't sight down your gun then get a riser for your red dot.

9.  There is NO DMR class for this game.  All electric powered guns MUST chrono under 400 FPS or they will not be allowed on the field.

10.  Anyone using a sniper rifle ( > 400 FPS) is required to have a spotter with them at ALL times.  This spotter must use a weapon that qualifies under 400 FPS.  If at any time the spotter is knocked out, the sniper must switch to a secondary weapon system that is qualifies under 400 FPS.  They may NOT continue using their +400 FPS rifle.

11.  There is NO photography allowed on the field except by MAG staff.  This is not our rule, this is CPX's rule.  Anyone caught taking photos on the field of play will be "asked" to leave.

12.  Load Bearing equipment can be of any color.  Only uniform tops determine team affiliation.

13.  Smoke grenades must be approved by staff before use.  Home made smoke grenades are NOT allowed.

14.  Magazine restrictions are in place.  Each player is allowed 1 hi-cap magazine (NOT a box magazine).  After that they are allowed to carry as many Mid and Low capacity magazines they want.

15.  Only real squad weapons will be allowed box magazines.  Examples: M249, M240B, RPK, RPD, M60.  Questionable support weapons such as MG36's and HE21's are subject to staff approval the day of.

More added as i find it.

Do to the completely insane response we are getting from players all over the Midwest, MAG has contacted CPX and has gotten permission to open up the playing area for a little more room.  So far our expected attendance could be VERY high, and we want to ensure that you guys have enough are to move around in.

We didn't just open up some empty field that were next door if that's what you are thinking.  We secured for you, another one of CPX's finest fields.
