Thank you for being patient while I finished the teaser and updated the website. It is all finished and updated with new storyline info, event rules, and media.

You can view the website at http://www.operationvigilance.com which has all the game info and the new trailer video for Op Vig 5.

Registration is now officially open (accessible through the website) so early bird players looking to save some cash, get a limited edition printed Op Vig 5 kill rag, and get on the team of their choice are encouraged to pre-register for the event. When you pre-reg, you'll get an email with instructions on how to access to private team boards for pre-game planning.

We did add a new game mechanic to the event series; magazine restrictions. This is detailed fully in the Event section, but every play is now only allowed one hi-cap and then all the additional non-winding magazines that they want to carry. Only SAWs can use box mags.

Some sponsors are already on board this year, including Airsoft Extreme, Altama footwear, King David's Airsoft, and Combat Sport Supply. Additional sponsors will be added to the home page as they come in.

I look forward to seeing everyone back to Operation Vigilance 5 this year as the story picks up where it left off last year.

*** Please note that I do not check this board very frequently, so if you must get a hold of me, please email me at operationvigilance@yahoo.com ***

I see that a lot of guys have black shirts and camo pants, or khaki, from past events. Is that uniform still acceptable because it isn't explicitly mentioned?

The uniform rules are explained in detail on the website but here is a quick recap.

UN Force = Full matching uniform. Only force that can use ACU. Cannot wear shemaghs at all. Must display a blue armband.

MEA Force = Able to wear full matching uniform or able to mix/match the top/bottom. Not able to wear ACU. REQUIRED to wear a shemagh around head or neck.

So if you wanted a contractor look or a mix/match look, you'd have to go MEA.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to post another update.

Event prep is rolling along and the day is fast approaching. Make sure you keep the following topics in mind...

PRE-REGISTRATION
Pre-registration ends SUNDAY, AUGUST 29TH AT MIDNIGHT. If you pre-register, you guarantee your spot on the army of your choice and the first 100 registered players receive a limited edition printed Op Vig 5 kill rag. There will also be a pre-registration line that will go faster than the day-of registration and you save $10 on the entry.

SAFETY COURSE & UNDER AGED PLAYERS
If you are under 18, then you MUST have completed a qualifying airsoft safety course and your name must on an accessible list for you to play. The MAA BATC, WAA AEC, and Gary's boot camp (day long course, not the small pre-game course) are all examples of valid safety courses. Under aged players must also bring a Lupine Productions waiver and an Apocalypse Paintball waiver signed by their parents or legal guardians. Then, under aged players must wear a full paintball mask in order to play (this is a field rule). If you need to take a safety course, there will be one on Saturday, September 4th at 5pm and if there are enough early birds we will run one at 2pm as well.

SPONSORS
Several more sponsors have signed up for donated items for the prize giveaways. We're up to 3 AEGs and a handful of other good items.
The current sponsors are...
- Airsoft Extreme
- King David's Airsoft
- Altama Combat Boots
- Combat Sport Supply
- Evike
- Tactical Milsim Magazine
- Crazy Cromag's Airsoft Emporium

Thanks and I look forward to seeing you out at the game.
