As long as you dont burn down the place they're allowed.
You are not special. You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else.

Phish usually keeps a propane grill around camp.

Considering the nature of much of the things that are being cooked, keeping a small household fire extinguisher or a cheap 1-pound box of baking soda is adviseable. Almost certainly not needed, mind you, but remember, most other people's stuff is not just expensive, but very close, due to the extreme proximity of much of the tents here.

We'll be encouraging people to set up refugee/hobo-style tent cities with group gathering and equipping space either in the center or around the edges in order to optimize the use of space.

I don't think so, normally we arrive around 4PM. SHerwood might have changed their gate policy, though, but I think they're open to paintball Fridays.

It would be a small portable charcoal briquette grill, grilled spam is on! For those who are in my tent circle there may or may not be French toast Saturday morning.

CHarcoal is great, but if you're using lighter fluid, please be sure to be careful. A chimney-type charcoal lighter would probably be preferrable.

Lighter fluid effects the way the food tastes, a charcoal chimney is what I've got.
