Is this true in Crystal Lake you can no longer airsoft.? i dont think its true but i have talked to a few people, one of wich bought a plastic clear at walmart walked to his car with his dad and the cops took it away from him and give him a 75 $ ticket.. i just wanted to know.?

What does it say on the ticket? what ordinance was cited? If you search that ordinance you'd know for sure.

Unless I missed it, Crystal Lake isn't listed on the towns banning/prohibiting sale/possession of bb/air guns
A search on CL's ordinances didn't pop up anything either.
Illinois is the only state doing this from what iv read, its pretty stupid because the people pushing for these laws are fighting the wrong fight

IIRC, NYC has restricted bb/air guns for years now; you need a license to even buy an air gun [New York City Administrative Code § 10-131(b) and New York City Administrative Code § 10-131(g)(1)(a)]. Same with DC,Frisco, MI, and our very own Chicago. I don't think the SC ruling affected Chitown's or DC's ban on air guns, since they are classified as firearms.
